Living in the Adirondacks, you just somewhat expect winter to happen. This year, we didn't get much of a winter at all. Some flurries here and there. An inch occasionally, but nothing like the feet of snow that were piling up in other areas of the country.
We thought we had gotten away without having any winter at all.
Boy, were we wrong!
As the daffodils were popping up out of the soil this weekend, we got hit by bitter cold temperatures, high winds, and several inches of snow. Those poor flowers. Who knows what will happen to them, or any of the other blooms that were just about to show themselves to the sun.
Here's to hoping that spring is, once again, right around the corner! In the mean time, I'll keep painting lovely things to keep my mind off of those chilly winds.
